These beds have a wonderfully graceful shape and great detail! One set would be great for a guest bedroom or you can put both sets together for a King-sized bed and use the extra rails as decoration over a door or as a valance on a window. These beds will fit in with any decor in your room or a guest bedroom. The beds date from the 1880's - 1890's. Made of solid French Oak, the beds were refinished 2 years ago. When we first got them, they were in horrible shape and looked like they had been stored in a barn for decades. Refinishing them brought out all the beautiful grain of the wood and has made these beds absolutely stunning! Notice the original metal castors that make it easy to slide the beds from side to side. A beautifully hand carved set that will last you for another 100 years. Sold as is.

Just a note: When the bed is put together with the wooden rails the length is 68”. French beds are generally wider than normal as the French loved to tuck in their bedding to show off the rails, so although a standard twin is 39”, these beds are 48” wide. If you use the newer mattresses you cannot use the rails. When putting both sets together for a King sized bed, you will not be able to use the rails as CA King beds are 80” - 84” long. The sleigh bed headboards are 43"H x 52"W x 9"D.  The sleigh bed footboards are 42"H x 52"W x 9"D. The weight is approx. 196 lbs.
