This one-of-a-kind dresser will be a focal point of your bedroom and generate many compliments! Made of solid mahogany this dresser is beautifully hand crafted making sure that it will last for many more decades. The drawers are put together with hand done dovetailing and quarter-rounds on the inside for added stability. Each drawer has an old brass lock with an unusually shaped escutcheons. The unusual solid brass handles have a great shape and feel to them. The harp with the two handkerchief drawers has a very intricately carved inset on each side which gives this dresser a wonderful look.
The beveled mirror has a nice crown and is hand carved on the top. The glass is in good condition with a bit of silvering loss on the top. The mirror can be re-silvered or leave as-is for the patina. The mirror moves for that “the better to see you with” position. The harp and mirror come off for easier shipping. Dating from the 1890's, the dresser is in excellent condition with only a couple of marks on the top and normal wear and tear as shown in the pictures. Someone cherished this dresser immensely to have kept it in such wonderful condition! Sold as is.
The dresser is 31"H to the top of the dresser, 65 1/4"H total x 42"W x 19 3/4"D. The weight is approx. 130 lbs.
